James T. Bauman
A Mass will be held on Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau with military honors following the church service. The Rev. Maria Joseph Kodiganti will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Masks required.
James was born December 25, 1927 in Marshfield to Theodore and Leone (Hoffman) Bauman. He was a graduate of Marshfield Sr. High School. James served in both WWII and the Korean War.
James was married to Donna (Peterson) Bauman and was a loving, devoted husband for 66 years.
He was co-owner of Bauman Auto and was an avid automobile enthusiast. James was a member of Elks 665, enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, loved his woods and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
James is survived by his wife Donna of Lac du Flambeau and by his brother Tom Bauman of Park Falls; his children Michael (Sandra) Bauman of Manitowoc; Jean (Daniel) Rude of Stoughton; Peter (Gretchen) Bauman of Wimberley, Texas; Ann (Mark) Mapes of Minocqua; John (Bonnie) Bauman of Plover; and Sister-in-law Lois Gifford; 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by brother Paul Bauman and sister's Elizabeth Weinfurtner and Barbara LeMahieu.
Memorials to James can be made to either St Anthony’s Catholic Church or Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.
