Nancy M. Chapes

Nancy M. Chapes, 87, of Manitowish Waters, passed away at Aspirus Hospital Wausau September 9, 2021. She was born September 8,1934 in Chicago Illinois to the late Walter and Emily (Kilnowski) Brzycki. She married John Chapes September 24, 1953. Nancy worked for Hoffman Electric and then Continental Electric before retiring. Upon retiring to Manitowish Waters, she volunteered at the Manitowish Waters Library, and was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, and the Lionesses, even having the title of Citizen of the Year. Nancy and her husband John are survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew them also knew they had many Huskey dogs over the years all named KIska. Funeral Services held September 17, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10:30 AM, visitation preceding service.
