Jacqueline A. Strobl


Jacqueline A. Strobl, 83, passed away Sunday, Sept. 5 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. She was born in Menasha on April 15, 1938 to Clarence and Magdalene (Mielke) Goeser. On June 30, 1956 she was united in marriage to Howard Strobl and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1979.
Jacqueline was born and raised in the Menasha area, moving to Appleton after she and Howard were married. They enjoyed fishing together, especially for musky. She also loved gardening and collecting antiques. She eventually moved to Boulder Junction where she enjoyed selling at the flea market and also owned and operated the Summer Wind gift shop.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Christine (Randy) Manteufel of Hortonville; grandson, Michael Manteufel (significant other, Marni Helms and her daughter, Cadence) of Menasha; grandson, Marc (Stacey) Manteufel and their children, Lindsay, Brooke, Sienna, Nolan and Colin of Neenah. Jacqueline is further survived by a brother, George (Carol) Goeser of Greenville, sister, Barbara (Chuck) Jury of Boulder Junction, brother-in-law, Hazen Clough of Boulder Junction, sister-in-law, Diane Goeser of N.C., as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Wayne and Richard Goeser, and sisters, Mary Clough and Judy Spoo.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 at the Appleton American Legion, 3220 W. College Ave., Appleton. www.maplecrestfuneralhome.com.
