Irene M. Callahan
Irene M. Callahan, Born December 16, 1924 in Melrose, Minn. Born to eternal life after a long battle with chronic kidney disease, Oct. 19. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Callahan, adored daughter of the late Josephine Volbert and Hubert Beste. Dear sister of the late Richard, Esther, Elmer, Ray, William, and living siblings Mildred, Sister Jean BVM, Robert, and Mary Lou. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who cherished her. Irene and Bob owned and operated Callahan’s Club at 1418 Clybourn in Milwaukee before retiring to the Northwoods. Because she lived such a rich, generous, loving life, she will be missed in equal measure, just as deeply. Rest in laughter, dear Irene. 
Memorial service to be held on Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Boulder Junction, followed by a luncheon from noon to 3 p.m. at Headwaters Restaurant & Tavern, also located in Boulder Junction.
