Emil William Evenson Jr.
Emil graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1954. In 1961, he graduated from Luther Theological Seminary in St Paul and served parishes in South Western Minnesota, and Central and Northern Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy; and sons Mark and Kris.
Emil is survived by his son Phil (Cindy); daughter in laws Cathy and Christine; grandchildren Angie, Cole, Mercedes, Morgan (Pat), Rachel and Vanessa (Tim).
A celebration of Emil’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona with Pastor Kathryn Reid Walker officiating. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Emil’s name to your local parish or food pantry.
