Mary Elizabeth Tallman, 92 of Arbor Vitae was called to her eternal home on November 20, 2021. Mary passed peacefully surrounded and held by her loving family. Mary was born on September 24, 1929 in Kenosha. The daughter of Frank and Florence Smith. Mary married Richard Tallman Feb 26, 1949 after two years of courtship and many love letters between them as Richard served our country in the armed forces. They lived and raised their family of five boys in Kenosha until they retired to Arbor Vitae, in 1992. Mary graduated from Mary D Bradford high school in Kenosha. Mary’s pride and joy were her five sons and their families. Mary’s passion was to serve others and spending time with her family. She always considered others before herself. Mary worked for many years at Sears Roebuck in Kenosha. She became quite talented in knitting and crocheting as she created countless Afghans for family and friends starting at the age of 12. For many years Mary knitted hundreds of slippers, hats and mittens that were donated to the food pantry and others given to family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking/baking, crafting and of course the GB Packers. Mary is survived by her five sons, Thomas of Kingman, Ariz., Larry (Kathy) of Paddock Lake, Randy of Kenosha, Rick (Dorothy) of Cold Spring, Minn., Gary (Kathy) of Arbor Vitae; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Stacey, Shawn, Gabriella, Kenneth, Krystal, Danielle, Mitchell and Stephanie, 20 great-grandchildren. Jamie, Brandon, Evan, Riley, Tanner, Taylor, Destiny, Mikayla, Grant, Logan, Megan, Nadine, Olivia, Phylicia, Qiana, Sierra, Theo and Uriah, Finley Janette and five great-great-grandchildren. Logan, Aubree, Jayden, Kaylee, Ainsley. A private funeral service will be held this week at Bolger Funeral Home, www.bolgerfuneral.com.
