Dale loved hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, skiing, boating, and exploring the Colorado back-country with his family, friends and the family Labrador at his side. He cheered on the Badgers, Packers, Broncos, etc. His favorite book, The Lord of the Rings, was read and watched over and over. He enjoyed watching old westerns, the History Channel, fishing & hunting shows, James Bond and John Wayne movies.
A mid-life diagnosis of multiple sclerosis eventually made it too difficult to enjoy those outdoor adventures. He retired in 2005 from a successful career as corporate Executive VP of Human Resources. Dale and Nancy returned to the Lakeland area a few years ago to enjoy time on the water fishing and cruising the lakes.
With strong determination and perseverance, Dale pushed himself to live to the fullest with M.S. for many years, but there was no beating a recent cancer diagnosis. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy; his children, Michelle and Mark; siblings Gary Muth and partner Anna (Blindauer), Mark Muth and wife Becky, Mary and husband Mike Sievert, Cheryl and husband Scott Mesick; his uncle Jerry Muth and wife Donna; brothers/sisters-in-law Dianne and husband Peter Blazkowski, Sue and husband Doug Thompson; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
A celebration of his life gathering family and friends is planned for Sunday, June 6 at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff with a Memorial Gathering from 2 to 3 p.m. with a time of sharing at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, enjoy a fish fry with your family & friends. Or, next time you are out on a lake drop a fishing bobber on the water and think of him sitting in his Lund catching a big one.
Online condolences may be shared at www.nimsgernfuneral.com. Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services is serving the family.
