Clyde Bailey

Clyde Bailey, age 91, died peacefully on July 15, 2020. Born: Aug. 5, 1928 in Metropolis, Iowa. A much loved father and uncle. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley, his parents, and two brothers. Survived by his son, Doug, four nieces, and six nephews. He lived most of his life in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. He worked as a YMCA director in Tulsa, Chicago, and Iowa and led trips into the wilderness. He owned and operated Wildcat Lodge in Boulder Junction for 24 years while also being a guidance counselor at LUHS. He then ran a photo store with his wife and son for many years. He taught us a lot and led a lot of kids through troubled times. There will be a private family memorial when it is safe from COVID. Any memorials can be directed to Dr. Kate Hospice.
