Ron was born in Chicago on October 30, 1941 to parents Stanley and Evelyn. There he was raised with his brothers Ray (late) (Virginia) and Rick (Beatriz). Ron married the love of his life, Judy (O’Gara), on September 21, 1963. Together, they raised an “a-maizing” family in Chicago.
Ron was a loyal employee of Deluxe Printing for 40 years, an avid bowler and poker player. He was a life-long learner, always reading and perfecting his knowledge of the world around him. Ron was someone everyone looked up to and highly respected. He was a pillar of strength for his entire family and friends.
After his retirement in 1999, he and Judy made Lake Tomahawk their home. Ron truly loved his home in Wisconsin, including regular shopping trips with Judy, but was most passionate about snowshoe baseball and the annual 4th of July rivalry between the Chicago All-Stars and the Lake Tomahawk Snowhawks.
Ron was a beloved husband to Judy (O’Gara); father to Michael (Sue), Robert (Debbie), and David (Karen). He was a loving grandfather to Nichole (Matt) Richard, Megan (Tom) Walsh, Ryan, Morgan (Rich) Battistoni, Mikey, Brandon (Kaitlyn), Kaitlyn and Matthew, and great-grandfather to Zac and Carter. He was a fond brother-in-law; uncle to many nieces and nephews; a great friend to many and a much-loved, most gracious summer host to the entire O’Gara family.
Services for Ron will be held in spring or summer. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Tomahawk Snowhawks, 7246 Main Street, Lake Tomahawk, WI 54539
