Carol Ann (Grant) Cardella
Carol was born at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill. on February 7, 1945. She lived in Crystal Lake, Ill. all of her childhood and met Sam in high school and they were married shortly after. She worked at Oak Manufacturing in Crystal Lake and worked as a secretary at Northern Illinois University. They soon found a home in St. Germain, in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and became resort owners.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Cardella; her in-laws, Sam Sr. and Kaye Cardella; and her parents, Bill and Laura Grant.
Carol leaves behind two sisters, Barb Morris and Missy (Dann) Skow; and her nieces and nephews, Shawn and Shanna (Josh), Madison, Mason, Emma, and Carter, Jenn (Lee), and Chris (Jess), Ryan, Olivia, Jackson, and Chloe.
She was deeply devoted to her friends, family and animals. Carol was a beautiful, loving soul, she will be forever in our hearts.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 19, from 9 until 11:30 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
