Marilyn J. Fiddyment

Marilyn J. Fiddyment, 85, of Lac du Flambeau, passed away of natural causes at her residence on July 7, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born in Waukegan, Ill., to Carl and Emma (Ricard) Hartmann. After graduating high school, she worked in the secretarial field, with her favorite position being at the Great Lakes Naval Base where she could meet the handsome sailors. Although they didn’t meet at Great Lakes, she married a handsome ex-sailor, Gene Fiddyment in Waukegan on May 8, 1965 and moved to Lac du Flambeau where Gene had lived since 1963. Marilyn soon learned to love crappie fishing, the Green Bay Packers (Go Pack Go) and taking care of her husband and two daughters. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Gene, daughters Diann Heisler and Sonja Murray, her sons-in-law, Bill Heisler and Shawn Murray, (who she considered sons instead of in-laws), sister Janet Bailey, and many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
A very special thanks to the wonderful staff at Ascension Hospice Care who provided excellent care to Mom in her last couple of weeks.
Due to the current situation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Online condolences may be shared at www.nimsgernfuneral.com. Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services is serving the family.
