Michael Paul Zimmerman

Michael Paul Zimmerman, 76, passed away peacefully with family by his side Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 at his home in Lac du Flambeau. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Sarah (Allen) Zimmerman, son Michael (Patricia) Zimmerman, daughters Dawn Porter, Janice (Louis) St. Germaine, brother Thomas (Delores) Zimmerman, many nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret, father Francis, son Patrick and daughter Ann Marie. Michael was an individual that loved the community and did his best to make sure the youth were able to get a great education and excel in sports. He started headstart in the community and was the director for 16 years He was a member of the Lac du Flambeau School Board for 32 years and the football coach for 26 years.  He was a local business man running a few successful businesses and was a 16 year member of the chamber throughout the years having recently retired. He also was a karaoke master and loved to sing Frank Sinatra. 
A visitation was held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Bolger Funeral Home-Minocqua Chapel
