Edward Stomner


Edward Stomner, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15 of natural causes.
Ed was born on July 26. 1924 to Edward and Anita Stomner in Milwaukee. After graduating from Wauwatosa High School, he enlisted in the Merchant Marines and served from 1943-1946 as a radio operator. 
In 1948, he married Juanita Schaefer and they went on to have two children, Karl and Kristen.
He retired from WE Energies in 1986 and moved to St. Germain to enjoy his retirement in his cabin by the lake. Ed was a jack of all trades and his hobbies included antique clock restoration, tool and die making and baking. He was also a member of Sons of Norway. In 2015, he moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz., to be closer to family.
Ed is predeceased by his parent and his wife. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Schowalter; his two children, Karl Stomner and Kristen Lambrecht; his two grandchildren, Teresa Roddy and Emily Madsen; and his five great-grandchildren, Max, Anita, Greta, Ava and Alice. He lived a long and full life and will be missed greatly.
Ed will join his wife, Juanita, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Mausoleum in Brookfield.
