When she was born, she weighed only 1 pound, 6 oz. Despite being so little, our Kemewan was still able to grip her daddy’s finger and respond to her mother’s touch during her brief stay on earth. She had her dad’s big hands and feet and the acclaimed Pyawasit nose.
Kemewan Elianna Louise is survived by her mother and father, Dante Wolfe and Ashley Bruette, her grandparents, Angela Bruette, Randy Adkins, Katie Layne, Vincent Wolfe and Cheyenne Pyawasit. She is further survived by her great-grandparents Julie Bruette, Myron and Doris Pyawasit, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kemewan Elianna Louise was preceded in death by many loved ones, most notably her great-uncle Gii-shik and great-great grandparents Louis and Edith Bruette.
Traditional Native American services began in Lac du Flambeau on April 9 and concluded on April 12. The family would like to thank the Marshfield Hospital NICU staff, especially Nurse Micki, for their efforts and dedication in our little girl’s fight.
