Richard Walter Hill


Richard Walter Hill passed on Nov. 30, 2020 in his daughter’s home surrounded by family. He was born in Kenosha on June 6, 1929 to Lillian and Cecil Hill. He had eight siblings; four sisters Margaret, Evelyn, Joyce, and Lorraine and three brothers, Walter, Cecil, and George. All preceded him in death other than Joyce Westermann. Most of his life, he worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, and family time. He married his beloved Ethel Walden on May 19, 1951; they were married for 64 years. She went to be with the Lord in 2010, after which he missed her dearly. He lost his grandson Nicholas Stephens in 2011. He was a devoted husband, father, and son. He loved children including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to display pictures in his house of all his family as well as nephews and nieces. It always brought joy to his face when visiting his family. Survivors include his children Rick, Vicky and Susan; grandchildren Christine, Chad and Stacey; great-grandchildren Dominick, Destiny, John, Elena, Lila, and Dom and a great-great-granddaughter Dana Marie. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends as he leaves an empty space in all our lives. He will be always presence in the hearts of all that knew him. Closed funeral services were held at Bolger Funeral Home in Woodruff on Dec. 5, 2020. Interment was at Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha.
