Darlene B. Reynolds
She married James Clementi, whom she later divorced. They had a cabin in Springstead, which they later turned into a permanent home. While living in Springstead they owned the J Dar Bar. They moved back to Glendale Heights, Ill., where Darlene became the first woman Mayor in the State of Illinois. She also owned her own clothing store in Park Falls named Darlene's Limited. Darlene also worked for the Navy Exchange on Coronado Island while living in San Diego. She always returned home to Wisconsin.
Darlene belonged to the Delta Pieta TAU chapter in Chicago.
Darlene loved to sew and work on arts and crafts. She loved to fish on the Flambeau Flowage. She liked to take long walks on the beach as well as just sitting and listening to the waves. She loved to bake, especially handed down family recipes like her Christmas bread and Kolache's.
Darlene is survived in death by her daughter Michelle (Clementi) Blanco and son in law Charles Blanco of Park Falls, her son Michael J. Clementi and daughter-in-law Debra (Fuhrman) Clementi of Lexington Park, Md.
Grandchildren Rebecca (Blanco) Barr and husband Matt Barr, Michelle (Clementi) Eanes and husband Douglas Eanes Jr. and Michael P. Clementi.
Great-grandchildren Hunter Eanes, Andrew Barr, Leeann Eanes, Alec Barr and Luke (Schmoogie) Eanes. She was lovingly referred to as Twinkle, Granny Selva and Granny Dar by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father Harry W. Bartell, mother Alma M. Graunke, brother Daniel W. Bartell, sister-in-law Barbara Bartell, grandson Christopher Blanco and nephew Daniel (Danny) Bartell.
Due to COVID-19 a celebration of life will be held in June of 2021
