Caleb Metrich of Lake Tomahawk submitted the winning design for the 2018 Waterfowl Stamp design contest for his painting of a pair of Canada geese in a marsh setting. Metrich has painted several winning stamp designs in the past, including the 2012 and 2017 Wild Turkey Stamp, the 2014 Pheasant Stamp and the 2014 Waterfowl Stamp.

Robert Leum of Holmen was awarded first place in both 2018 Wild Turkey and Pheasant Stamp design contests.

Twenty-one wildlife artists submitted a total of 34 pieces of artwork for the 2018 Wisconsin wild turkey, pheasant and waterfowl stamp design contests. The judging panel of Paul Heinen, Joe Wagner and Cary Reich from the Natural Conservancy Wisconsin field office chose the winners on July 27.

Proceeds from stamp sales to hunters provide support for management of waterfowl and wild turkey.
