Dale E. Davidson
On February 8, 2026, Dale E. Davidson headed out on his last great adventure to go home to be with his Lord. He no longer has the need of his suitcase for a body but has transcended to his final resting place. We who are left behind mourn but also celebrate this man with every fiber of our being but, as he would say, “I am not saying goodbye. See you on the other side.”
He lived a life of service and quiet strength. He served honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Army. He was constantly striving with every fiber of his being to keep this country he loved strong. He then continued on in his career as a government civilian for 15 years. He worked in 37 countries doing his best to keep us safe. Then finally he spent 12 more years as a government contractor where he steadfastly tried to pass on those well-earned skills to so many servicemen and women. He was so proud to see them grow into such valuable warriors for our country.
He was a steady example of what it means to lead with character humility, discipline and love. He didn’t chase attention — he earned respect. He didn’t talk about values — he lived them.
He was born in Blackduck, Minn. and lived a glorious 76 years full of adventure. He married the love of his life, Jean, 53 years ago and they celebrated every day the life they were so blessed to enjoy together. He greatly loved their two children: Bobbi Sheley and her husband Jimmy with their three children: Brianna, Garrett and Cooper (Phoenix), as well as their son Darius (Salisbury, Md.); and Eric Davidson and his wife Theresa with their two children: Julia and Emily (Joppa, Md.).
He has three brothers: Lyle Davidson and his wife Karen (Austin, Texas), Alan Davidson and his wife Kay (San Antonio) and Gary Davidson and his wife Tami (Maple Grove, Minn.). He has many beloved nieces and nephews and their children who he has so greatly enjoyed and they have really enhanced his life. Each and every one is treasured as one would precious gold. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyla and Vernon Davidson.
Services were held.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to his beloved church Faith Evangelical Free Church, 9035 Blumenstein Road, Woodruff, WI 54568.
