After the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lake Tomahawk Snowshoe Baseball 2021 season begins Monday, June 28 at Snowshoe Park in Lake Tomahawk.
Snowhawk games are played each Monday evening beginning at 7:30 p.m. The July 4 game will feature the Chicago All-Star team. The stands at Snowshoe Park provide one of the finest viewing sites for the town’s fireworks which follow the holiday contest.
There is no admission charge, but a butterfly net is passed through the stands during the middle of the game. The net proceeds provide the Snowhawks with revenue used for expenses as well as donations to various charitable projects which help out community needs.
Some changes have been made because of the pandemic, but concessions will still be served. A vast array of homemade pies, served in individual plastic containers, will top off the pre-game meal. Come early to get a slice before they sell out.
