Captain - Emergency Services Oneida County is accepting applications for the position of Captain - Emergency Services with the Oneida County Sheriff's Office. The Captain of Emergency Services shall assign and direct subordinates, ensuring all policies, rules, regulations, orders, procedures and directives are enforced and implemented, make independent decisions or recommendations in hiring, promotion, transfer, discipline or discharge of employees, and is directly accoutable to the Sheriff and Chief Deputy for implementation of all Sheriff's orders and direction. This position shall be an employee of the County not under Civil Service and shall be entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits that County employees have. Position pays $62,008 - $85,039 per year. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen; have a valid WI driver's license, be in good physical condition; not a convicted felon; a HS graduate or equivalent; requires Associate degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Criminal Justice Administration, Business Administration or related field with a Bachelor's degree preferred; five years experience in a public safety supervisory role preferred. Must be knowledgeable of law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services, hazardous material response, volunteer organizations, and two-way radio communications. Must have the ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including Emergency Response Procedures and Plans, Hazardous Material Forms, Emergency Management Planning and Analysis Guides, Facility Response Plans, and any other additional Emergency Management related documents.
