Recent presentation provides a look at Wisconsin’s amphibians and reptiles

A recent webinar by the Natural Resources Foundation (NRF) looked at the different species of amphibians and reptiles in the state. Cait Williamson from the NRF spoke about the Wisconsin Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Fund. She said there was a significant funding gap for amphibians and reptiles in the state, leading the NRF to establish a first-of-its-kind endowment fund for those species. The funs supports a number of on the ground research activities, she said, as well as habitat beneficial to amphibians and reptiles across the state. Training of citizen scientists and education and outreach are also covered by the fund.
