Seed saving makes for sustainable gardening
Lisa Johnson, horticulture outreach specialist with UW-Madison Division of Extension in Dane County, spoke recently about how to save seeds from the garden. She started with an explanation of pollination. Pollination, she said, is the transfer of pollen grains from the male flower to the female flower structure. There are two major types of pollination. Those are self-pollination and cross-pollination.
