Rodney R. McPherson, 68, of Woodruff, passed away at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Jan. 2, 2019. He was born in West Allis to Richard and Janet McPherson.

Rodney served in the U.S. Navy. He was the founder and CEO of Mill-Rite Inc. He was a member of the Island City Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed attending Faith Free Evangelical Church, woodworking, hunting, boating, dancing, singing karaoke and spending time with his grandchildren. Rodney owned a 1956 Chevy and enjoyed going to car shows.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard, a brother Charles “Chuck,” step-mother Harriett and his step-father Al Gerard.

Survivors include his wife Shari, children Christy (Allan Jr.) Schultz, Michael (Shannon) McPherson, loving step-sons, Randy Bonvini and Rocco Bonvini; 10 grandchildren, Alexander and Trevor Jameyson, Arabella and Quinten McPherson, dear step-grandchildren Krystal (Mike), Kelly, Cameron, Rachel, Nicole and Evan; six step-great-grandchildren, Hailey, Mikey, Emily, Alison, Taylor and Lillian; his mother Janet Gerard, a brother Randy; four sisters Linda (Don) Hollingsworth, Bambi (Paul) Helms, April Hunt; Kitty (Mike) Couch, his first wife Joan McPherson and his dog, Ms. Sadie McPherson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Jan. 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Faith Free Evangelical Church in Woodruff. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. A visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to Faith Free Evangelical Church or Island City Masonic Lodge.
