Richard (Dick/Dickster) Murphy passed away, peacefully surrounded by his family, on Oct. 14, 2018 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Richard was born Sept. 18, 1941 in Freedom. He was one of five children born to Edwill and Shirley Murphy. Richard moved to Arbor Vitae in 1979 where he owned and operated Murphy’s Warehouse Sales until he retired in Venice, Fla., in 2013. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a faithful Christian. Richard was a very patriotic man who loved our country and our flag! He loved spending his time golfing and watching his Green Bay Packers, Brew Crew, and Badgers. But most of all he loved spending his time with his family, especially his great-granddaughter, whom he was a best friend to and did everything for her. Richard is survived by his wife Roxann Murphy, three children Melissa (Les) Murphy-Nordrum, Michael Murphy and Andrew Murphy, three siblings Ronald (Barbara) Murphy, William (Diane) Murphy and Mary Lou Pakarske, two granddaughters Micaela (Cody) Farrell and Mckenzie MacIntyre, and one great-granddaughter, Kaydence Farrell. Services will be held on Oct. 30, 2018 at Foundation Church (formally known as Lakeland Assembly of God 9127 County Rd J Minocqua WI 54548).
