Mary McMahon, age 71, of Minocqua, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, after a hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by her husband and children.

Mary was born June 16, 1947, in Tomahawk, daughter of Roy and Mary (O’ Keefe) LaFrenier. Mary grew up in Minocqua and also enjoyed raising her family in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Mary was an interior designer, and owned and operated Island Interiors for over 35 years.

She loved boating, traveling the world, wintering in Florida, holiday traditions and cherished time with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mac McMahon; four children, Pat (Shelbe) Healy of Wausau, Matt (Jodi) McMahon of Manitowish Waters, Tim (Lisa) McMahon of Minocqua. and Margaret (Scott) McMahon-Rautio of Minocqua; grandchildren Brendan and Katie McMahon, Connor and Claire Healy, and Tyler and Rachel McMahon; two brothers Ken (Cheryl) LaFrenier of Connecticut, and Jim (Mary) LaFrenier of Minocqua; and one sister Jane (Steve) Cotter of Alaska; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mary was proceeded in death by her loving parents and sister, Barbara Neal.

Visitation will be held at Bolger Funeral Home, Minocqua, Sunday, Sept. 30, 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorial mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Woodruff, Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery in Woodruff.
