The Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council building in Lac du Flambeau will be renamed after the late Mike Allen, Sr.
The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians will name the building housing the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council (GLITC) after Mike Allen, Sr.

Allen passed away Dec. 18 at the age of 70. 

He served as the president, vice president and tribal council member for the Lac du Flambeau Tribe. 

Allen also served as the executive director of the GLITC.

“Mike served our community for many years, and we are saddened at this loss,” tribal council president Joseph Wildcat said in a press release. “We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”
