David L. Zuehlke, 82, of Egg Harbor, passed away at home on Aug. 1, 2019.

He was born in Sheboygan, and was the second child of Lawrence and Helen (Gillespie) Zuehlke of Hartford, who preceded him in death along with his sister Marie Ralston and son Guy D. Zuehlke.

After graduating Hartford High School in Hartford, he moved to Madison to play football for UWM for one season, then moved on to the Army to continue a career playing football and served as a military police officer. David just celebrated his 50th anniversary with Local Union 139. David loved to putz, go to farms, every aspect of construction, the Green Bay Packers and his family.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years Susan J. (Chaplin) and children, Lizbeth (Kurt) Thomas, Lesley (Kris) Mollner, Eric (Merrick) Westin, Katy (Tragg) Hunter, Jincey (Tim) Goggin and his sister Jean (Earl) DuPont.

David leaves 11 grandchildren, Ryan Zuehlke, Devin (Gina) Thomas, Logan Thomas, Merlin (Megan) Hunter, Hudson Hunter, Jack Mollner, Keller Goggin, Finley Goggin, Mason Westin, Ivan Westin and Finley Westin.

David leaves four great-grandchildren, and a lot of nieces, nephews and good friends.

A private family gathering for a memorial service will be held.
