Conrad “Mick” Wiesendanger peacefully passed away at home on Nov. 10, 2018. Mick was born May 2, 1952 in Milwaukee to Conrad A. and Edith Wiesendanger. He graduated from Lakeland Union High School in 1970 and joined the United States Air Force in 1971. He married his high school sweetheart, Shyla Helterhoff, in 1972. When his four years in the Air Force were over, they moved back to Arbor Vitae and managed the Helterhoff stores in downtown Minocqua for many years. Mick was a founding member of the Arbor Vitae Fire Department and was active with the Minocqua Chamber of Commerce by heading the snowmobile drag races on Lake Minocqua. In the years before retiring he worked at Minocqua Sport Rental. Mick loved his family with an unconditional love. He is survived by his wife Shyla, daughter Jessica (Tim) Schultz, grandchildren Jameson, Parker, Emalyn, Davis, Avery and Corbin Schultz. Also survived by one brother Todd (Cindy) Wiesendanger, and sisters Pam Pence an Julie (Dan) McMullen. He was predeceased by his son Scott W., his parents, and brothers David, John and Jesse.
