BJ Clark, age 83, of Minocqua, passed away on Sunday, July 7, at his home. BJ grew up in Lakin, Kansas, on the family farm. He graduated from Lakin High School in 1953 and entered the army. Following his service, BJ attended college and worked as a manager at Osco. On Aug. 25, 1968, BJ married the love of his life, Bev Nelson. They worked and raised their children, Brett and Kristin, in Elgin, Ill., where BJ worked at Prudential Insurance. One of BJ’s greatest joys was watching Brett and Kristin play sports, and he made it a priority to attend all their events.

BJ and Bev retired to Northern Wisconsin in Minocqua. He thoroughly enjoyed woodworking, working on his home, and spending time with his family. Bev, his children, and his six grandchildren were the most important and treasured part of his life.

BJ is survived by his wife, Bev, of 50 years, son Brett (Margaret), daughter Kristin Lance (Adam), and six grandchildren -— Sydney, Brady, Dagan, Mary, Patrick, and Sean. BJ is survived by five brothers and sisters. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

There will be a Memorial Service at Ascension Lutheran Church, 7937 Highway 51 South, Minocqua, 54548, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
