The second annual Lakeland STAR Golf Outing will take place on Tuesday, June 11 at the Minocqua Country Club, in partnership with the Howard Young Foundation. All monies raised will directly benefit the students of Lakeland STAR School.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start for the event at 10 a.m. A box lunch will be served on the course from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 4:15 p.m., heavy appetizers will be served, music by Keith Pulvermacher. Lakeland STAR?speakers will be at 5 p.m., followed by the announcements of winners at 5:20 p.m. The live auction begins at 5:40 p.m.

Lakeland STAR houses two of the Lakeland areas newest public charter schools. Lakeland STAR is open to students of all abilities and includes personalized education programs to help students discover their unique potential and maximize their capabilities. Lakeland STAR School serves grades 7-8, Lakeland STAR Academy serves Grades 9-12.

The teaching staff is specially trained to provide a personalized education, tailored to the way students learn. Staff creates an inclusive environment which adapts to students strengths and helps with self-determination and regulation skills.
