Lakeland’s Jakob Craig qualified for the New England Nordic Ski Association’s Eastern Championship race.  He will represent Lakeland and the Midwest in that event held in Bethel, Maine on March 8-10.

Johanna Craig qualified for the Canadian Ski National race in Quebec on March 13-20, though as a personal decision she declined her invitation.

“All our skiers and families who competed to make the teams committed much time and effort,” Lakeland head coach Erich Kern said. “In part, it is what helps Lakeland have such a strong ski team.  Congratulations to all those skiers and good luck to those competing.”

Next up for the Nordic Ski team is a race in Hayward tomorrow as part of the American Birkiebeiner race weekend.
