“Overall, I am very proud of the five girls who stuck through the season,” first year Lakeland head coach Haley Farrell said. “Though we didn’t have the numbers we still were able to compete on every event this year. The girls did a great job at sectionals as well. Julie had another awesome vault and next year I am confident she could take vault to state if she continues to work on her full. Anna Thompson got her personal best score on bars and what better meet to do it at then sectionals. I was also very proud of Cameryn (Teichmiller) and Anna Smith for competing their floor routines once again. They did an awesome job and it took a lot to get them out on the floor, but it was worth it.”

As a team, Lakeland finished in seventh place with a total score of 59.05.

Ashland won the sectional with a score of 132.75. Medford was second with 126.325. Antigo was third with a 122.45. Rhinelander was fourth with a score of 119.55. Mosinee was fifth with a 109.275, and Chequamegon came in sixth with a score of 90.35.
