Minocqua Dance presents “The Enchanted Nutcracker,” a fun, family holiday performance of ballet and jazz, will be performed at two showings, at 1:30 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Lakeland Union High School auditorium.

    Minocqua Dance presents “The Enchanted Nutcracker,” a fun, family holiday performance of ballet and jazz, will be performed at two showings, at 1:30 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Lakeland Union High School auditorium.
  • Acclaimed as one of Ireland’s most gifted tenors, Paddy Homan elevates traditional Irish songs to new heights. A born entertainer hailing from County Clare, Homan adds a layer of warmth and familiarity to his performances, bringing the audience not just closer to the music, but welcoming them into a unique Irish experience. 
  • The child sponsorship charity World Vision is partnering with Christian artist Josh Wilson for his Noel Christmas Tour, coming to Faith Evangelical Free Church in Woodruff at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.
  • The special education department at Lakeland Union High School, in conjunction with the County Communities on Transition (CCOT), will be hosting a Community Resource and Transition Night at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16 at the high school. 
  • The Manitowish Waters Lioness Holiday Home Tour and Breakfast will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. Tour three homes decorated with holiday splendor. 
  • Acclaimed violinist Randy Sabien loves the holiday season — especially the holiday music tradition. Sabien and his band of extraordinarily talented musicians will continue that tradition in the Nicolet College Theatre with the rich and entertaining concert Meet Me Under the Mistletoe: A Holiday Concert with Randy Sabien at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10.
  • The Jack Frost Festival festivities in Ironwood, Mich., includes a wide-ranging series of community events covering the arts, outdoor sports, and an all-around celebration of things wintertime. Some ongoing events have already begun, while others happen over the course of the next couple of months. 
  • Mercer’s town-wide Christmas Celebration, put on by the Mercer Historical Society, Candy Cane Parade Committee, and the Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, starting at 3:30 p.m. 
  • The Sayner-Star Lake Lioness and Lions clubs are hosting the annual Sayner-Star Lake Christmas Party from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight, Dec. 6, at the Sayner Community Building.
  • Generations — A Community Gathering Place (previously Lakeland Senior Center) is celebrating the season with a holiday lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Woodruff Town Hall on Dec. 12.
  • Historic Ironwood Theatre (HIT) and Theater North present A Community Christmas at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, at HIT in Ironwood, Mich.
  • The Eagle River Business Association, in conjunction with the Eagle River Main Street Program, the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center and the Eagle River VFW Post 8637, is hosting a visit with Santa at the Christmas Kick-off from 4 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 7, in Riverview Park, across the street from the Eagle River Chamber office.
  • Start the holiday season in Boulder Junction at the 31st annual Christmas Walk on Friday, Nov. 29 and Christmas Kid’s Day on Saturday, Nov. 30. Come and experience the magic of the holiday season, at this truly spectacular small-town event.
  • The annual Christmas in Minocqua event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 30 in downtown Minocqua starting at noon.
  • The annual Ladies Night Out event in Minocqua will take place tonight, Friday, Nov. 22. Sponsored by the Minocqua Island Business Association, “MIBA,” this year’s event will run from 4 to 8 p.m.
